COVID-19 : THE ALSACE RALLYE FESTIVAL POSTPONED!
The announcements made by Prime Minister Edouard PHILIPPE on Tuesday afternoon put an end to the possibility of hosting the Alsace Rally Festival at late August this year.
By banning all events that collect over 5,000 people until beginning of September, it became clear that our festival could no longer take place on the originally planned dates of August 20, 21 and 22, 2020.
Hope and optimism, which led Slowly Sideways France a few days ago, suddenly gave way to a big disappointment. Nevertheless, after the shock of this announcement, the Organizing Committee immediately went to work to determine what should happen with the fourth edition of this event, which is now firmly anchored in the European automotive world and is eagerly awaited by both participants and spectators.
There is still a lot of uncertainty at the moment, especially with regard to the free movement through the international borders. In agreement with our partners, we have to decide as quickly as possible on the implementation of the 2020 edition. So far there is only one certainty: the 4th Alsace Rallye Festival will take place. Either this year, or it will be postponed to the next year. The participants who have already registered can of course either keep their participation fee for the new date or get a refund of the fees already paid.
We will get back to you with new information very soon.
Take care of yourself and your loved ones
